Tape Art Invades Leesburg High
About the Invasion
Our week in Leesburg consisted of four main projects:

1. Drawing Community

This section highlights work created by students on their walls at Leesburg High-School. Each day, three one-and-a-half hour long classes were guided through theme development, given a demonstration of Tape Art techniques, and set forth to create their own large scale, collaborative, temporary murals on their school's halls and walls.

2. Tape Art Around Town
Tape Art Around Town encompasses the different projects undertaken outside of school by a team of dedicated students. Every day after school, this dynamic group took on a new scenario, applying their creative disposition towards the greater good as artists-citizens in their community.

3. Random By Request
Random by Request is the title for Tape Art drawings based on suggestions from students and faculty. Before our visit, everyone at Leesburg High was given the opportunity to tackle a seemingly-simple question, “What would you like to see drawn?” Upon arrival, we worked to create Tape Art drawings around the school using selected answers as our inspiration.

4. Daily Videos / Website Updates
Daily Videos were created to highlight the student effort, while enabling us a creative opportunity to elaborate on the themes explored by the class in their Tape Art mural. These videos were a fun, fast project, created each evening and posted on the internet the following morning, so that students could access them quickly and share with friends.
