Each black dot on this map is the location of a drawing of someone who lost their life at the World Trade Center in September of 2001.

The drawings were temporary and done in tape.

Each drawing is dedicated to a fireman or airline passenger and all those who died in the towers.

This website, the Eleventh of September: an act of remembrance, is the cumulative result of 30,000 hours of volunteer effort, compiling five years of documentation and biographical information relating to the those who passed away and the journeys through New York City.
