Tape Art from the Weatherspoon Art Museum, Greensboro, NC

During the ArtBeat Festival the first week in May, artists Michael Townsend, Colin Bliss and Paige Bradlley created a series of public tape art drawings on the facades of downtown retail shops, restaurants, and other highly trafficked areas that promises to bring the community together in a unique way.

Video created for the band State Radio and directed by Sam White. The Tape Artists combine a mix of animation techniques - blending tape, wood cut outs, digital stop motion and fire - to tell the story of a loving couple's final moments.

During a residency with the HK International Artists' Workshop 2008, we collaborated with the kai fongs (neighbors) of the Sham Shui Po K20 – K23 urban renewal district to create a large temporary artwork in
response to critical issues of redevelopment in their neighborhood. The temporary artwork showcased drawings of different shops and storefronts directly threatened by redevelopment. Over 50 neighbors participated.
